I've Been Tagged!

Karen from http://6wackywomen.blogspot.com/ has tagged me! So I am now to go into my picture folder on my computer and go to the 6th folder and choose the 6th picture and write about it.

Here we go:

I will first say that I had to cheat a little. My computer is fairly new and I have not really downloaded any pictures on it yet. So I have an SD card always in my computer so I chose the 6th picture on it. Forgive me...

Anyway, This is a picture of my girlfriend's husband on a amusement ride in Las Vegas. Remember when I went in December? Well here is one of those pics. Mike was actually on the ride with his 10 year old son, Michael, but somehow Mike is the only one in this pic. We all had such a good time!!

Now I get to have some fun and pick 5 peeps to "Tag" as well.

LSC #23 & #24

Okay ladies I said I was on the prowl so here are my LSC's for the past two weeks. I have had them done since Friday, but have not founnd a single moment to sit done and post them. I have been on the go all weekend it seems.
The first one is LSC#23 which was to use the colors Chocolate Chip, Kiwi Kiss, Pink Passion (my version) and White. What do you think?

The deets on this one is SU Upsy Daisy set for the daisy image and the sentiment. Inkainkado for the butterfly and the little flourishes. I CB'd the chocolate BG. I also used a nestibilities for the white pieces for a little more character. I added a little pink flower with a brad for dimension and Bazzill ribbon as well. I am pretty happy with it. As I was using this color combo I was struggling, but it came together quite well in the end.

The LSC #24 challenge was to use BLING! This card is actually the Valentine's card I made for my DH. I think it qualifies.

I used acetate as the card overlaying SU silver paper which is slightly smaller then the acetate. The heart and branch image is SU on Shimmer paper from The Paper Company. The 'Love" is from my Cricut. The ribbon is PTI and I added some clear and black rhinestones for bling (of course).

Well, off to make dinner I go, have great evening!

I'm Back!!!

Hi All!

I am back!! Yes, I have been back home for almost a week now, but I have been still trying to get back into my routine so I have been slacking on the posting. I am sorry, and I hope to get better. I will probably never be so good that I post daily, but I am trying, lol.

Anyway, here is a card I whipped together before my vacation and just never got around to posting.

It was very simple and quick. The colors are SU Basic Black, Real Red, and white. The DP is some from my collection, and I just added a silk flower some ribbom and bling. The little red flowers on the DP are stamped on BTW.
Okay, my goal is to spend some quality time in the ol' craft room tomorrow and/or saturday so I will post more soon.
Watch out LSC ladies, I am on the prowl and promise to do the challenge this week!!! Have a wonderful evening!

Oh, How Time Flies

Good Evening!

I am now home safe and sound from my wonderful trip to visit Dani. We had a really good time, but wow it goes so fast! It always seemed we never got to sit down for too long let alone post anything on our blogs.

Thanks to everyone who left us a comment, we love to read those. It made us think of you all.

I am now going to try to get back in my normal routine and post more again. I am going to try to join in the LSC challenges too, sorry ladies. I am going to try to do more SCS challenges and others as well.

I will try to post pictures of a few of the cards I made while I was in Indiana. Believe it or not, we did not even take a single picture while I was visiting. Not even one of her kiddos. We suck!!

So bear with me and I hope you all have a great week!

Dani & Jolene

Hi all!

Dani and I are having a great time in SNOWY Indiana! I think it was suppose to be warmer in Denver all week and I am here...but oh well! (Actually, I guess it is quite horrible in Denver today).

Dani and my goal today is to spend time in her craft room making a few cards. By 'few' I mean hopefully more than one, lol. Anyway, have a great Monday, and maybe we will have something to post later....

Indiana Bound, Yippee!!

Good evening! I am now Indiana bound and so excited. Work could not go fast enough for me today. It seemed like it took forever. I still have some packing to do and other stuff tonight so this will have to be a quickie post. I wanted to post a card though.

Bellas are so fun to stamp with. I used SU Old Olive and Wintergreen DSP. I used my oval nestabilities and some stickles. The ribbon is also SU and the sentiment is MFT. Lastly, I used the mineral spirits tecnique from the cruise for my Bella.

Before I say goodnight, Char and Wendy, I still want to do the LSC challenge tomorrow, but with traveling and spending time with Dani and the kids bear with me. I will try to get r' done soon though!
Goodnight!!

Hello!

Hi all! Hope everyone is having a great week. I feel like I am always on the go and can't find a moment to just real so far this week.

I am so excited that on Friday I am going to visit my BFF, Dani, in Indiana for a week. We will have so much fun together. I can't wait to see the kiddos and the pups either. Our goal is to organize her craft room, do a couple of swaps (one on SCS, the other with our cruise friends), and I am sure there are 10,000 other things we hope to do as well!

So needless to say, I have been busy all week and probably will be until I leave. Buy I just wanted to post a quick card tonight. Isn't it so cute?

I used SU Green Galore, white, and a Bazzill Bling in Pomegranate. I, of course, used the CB for the background. The image is SU from one of the stem sets and the sentiment is the disco'd 'Hi and Hello' set. The color of the stamped images is SU Rose Red and I used Dazzling Diamonds on the stem. I added some cute polk dot ribbon that I had too. This card was so quick to make, but I love the simple chic look.

Before I say goodnight, I just wanted to let you know how excited I was to receive this award . I am really getting into to this crazy blogging world, and was twitterpated to get this!!!

Thank you so much KAREN at http://6wackywomen.blogspot.com/ for such a great honor. And I must say, your blog is absolutely fabulous as well!!

SCS Challenge

This is my first SCS challenge. I did the 'Ways to Use it' challenge #WT199, Ringing in the New Year. Since I had so much fun doing the LSC the other day, I have decided to try to do more challenges this year. This is actually one of my New Year's Resolutions. I figure it is a great way to use some of my supplies that I do not typically "grab" for when I am creating.

Anyway, this challenge was to simply incorporate SILVER into a card. So I thought, how fun is that?

Talk about using supplies I don't usually use, I actually used my cricut for this card (2009). I am so bad about utilizing this tool, so Iwas excited about this. My color scheme is SU Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze, and SU Brushed Silver. I absolutely LOVE this color combo. The stamp is from Hero Arts. I added some bling with silver stickles (hard to see) and the 'cheers' emblem is from Joann's. I topped of the card with some silver ribbon I got as a 'steal' from Michael's, as I paid .30 cents a roll on clearance. I just wish i would have bought more!

I hope you enjoy my first SCS challenge. I am actually going to mail it out tomorrow as a SCS RAK. Have a great evening!

LSC #21

Hi All! I hope everyone had a safe and wonderful New Year's. Mine was nice and relaxing. I am not one to "ring in the new year", so we had fun at home with a couple of friends, dinner, card games, and some Jeff Dunham...what could be better?

Anyway, I have had the opportunity to follow some amazing Blogs for a few months now, the Loonie Stampers Challenge girls, and their stuff is sooooo fun and inspiring. So I have decided to try to do their weekly color/sketch challenges. I hear they love it when others join in, so why not? What a fun New Year's resolution...besides it forces me to get in my craft room!

This weeks challenge was to use the colors Pure Poppy, Spring Moss, Spring Rain, and Sweet Blush. I used the SU version of each, Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze and Pink Pirouette. These colors were quite fun! Hope you enjoy my creation!

I used SU sets, Polka-dot Poisies and Petal Pushers. I also used SU DSP Hawaii Papaya. I embellished with some ribbon, flower tab, and little silver studs. The blue label says "live it up" (sorry about the glare). After I was all done though, looking back I wish I would have CB'd the baja color w/swiss dots, oh well maybe next time!

Thanks ladies, this was fun!
