My new toy!

So this past week my DH and I bought me a new laptop! We also finally got our wireless router hooked up in our house. I am so twitterpaited! I have no excuse now on not being able to update my blog on a regular basis. As we speak, I am sitting in the living room 'watching' a movie and playing online...what could be better? (We are pretty boring)

Anyway, I found some pics of my DH and I on our Alaska cruise in '07, so I thought I would post a pic of us two, in case anyone wanted to see my cutie patootie DH. As you can all tell, I am a TOTAL Trophy Wife!!! I guess someone has to be one, eh?? LOL, LOL

Anyway, I was super busy today making cards and such, so I will try to get those posted tomorrow. Have a good night!

Another Card...

So I am now officially 24 hours into my blog and no major hang-ups to report. This is a good sign. Anyway, I wanted to post another card tonight.

This is one I pretty much used the same idea from Gina K's class on the cruise, but I used SU Perfect Plum, and Pale Plum and Basic Black. Once again, this is the bleaching technique, boy I love to bleach! Instead of the gold spray mist, I used the silver. The butterfly stamp is a Gina K out of our goody bag (Thanks Gina!!) and the sentiment is Inkainkado. I used the cuttlebug for the background also. The silver spray is also from the cruise, I love this stuff! But unfortunately, my bottle does not spray worth a darn, so I got some globs of silver on my paper. Does anyone have any great ideas for my silver sprayer not working?

Hi All! Due to the fact I could never get my blog off the "blocked status", I am now starting over again. I have now lost all my previous entries including my cruise photos of all my new stamping pals I met...sorry!

So someday soon I will try to put some photos back on.

Anyway, here I am at the end of another weekend trying to get motivated to go back to work tomorrow. Last week I fought a stomach bug most of the week, but am now starting to feel better.

I had the luxury of spending some time in my "Stampin Studio" yesterday and created a few cards.

This one I took the bleaching idea we learned in Gina K's class and bleached part of my flower dress. I used SU stamp and an Inkainkado sentiment. The paper is SU retired Marvelous Magenta, Basic Black, and the new Pink Pirouette. I used the swirl folder of cuttlebug for the background and embellished with flowers and silver brads.

The next card I created was a "quickie." I had bought some new prima polka dot flowers at Michael's on Friday and was just itching to use them somewhere...so I came up with this idea!

This card is using standard white cardstock and then Pink Passion from SU. I also used the Swiss Dots of cuttlebug for the background. The sentiment is one of Stamping Bella which we got in our goodie bag on the cruise (Mwah! to Em). I embellished with white ribbon and rhinestone brad and small rhinestone. The sentiment is on a oval punch and layered on 2 more white oval punches...Hope you like...This one was quick and turned out cute!!!

I have a few more cards to post, but I will have to do them later as I have other stuff to do!
